Can I use a PowerPoint deck?

Export it as a PDF first.

Do the devices need internet?

No. They connect over the Wi-Fi network they share, or directly to each other when there is none. Keep Wi-Fi on.

What happens to the PDF afterward?

It stays on the viewer devices after the session.

Does every viewer need to pay?

No. Only the presenter needs a subscription.

How many devices can follow one presenter?

It is designed for meeting rooms: a presenter and up to five viewers. Pre-load the deck on each device for the fastest start.

What data does DeckSync collect?

None. No analytics, no crash reporting, no third-party SDKs, and no outbound network requests of its own. The two exceptions are in your hands: your subscription, handled by Apple, and a diagnostic log if you choose to email one to support from Settings. See the privacy policy.

Is the connection encrypted?

With a PIN, yes. Everything the session sends is encrypted with a key derived from the PIN, so a device without it cannot read the deck. Without a PIN, anyone with DeckSync on the same network can discover the session and read the deck. (DeckSync will warn you before sharing.)

Which devices can join?

iPad and iPhone on iPadOS or iOS 26.3 or later, running DeckSync 1.2 or later. DeckSync 1.2 cannot connect to earlier versions.
